KDIGO will hold a Controversies Conference on Effective Kidney Care in Lower-Resourced Settings in November 2026. The conference aims to catalyze equitable access to and implementation of effective care for people living with or at risk of kidney diseases in lower-resourced settings.

Dr. Sanjib Sharma (BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal) and Dr. Valerie Luyckx (University of Zurich, Switzerland) will co-chair the conference.

As part of the planning process for each Controversies Conference, KDIGO makes a preliminary Scope of Work available for public review and feedback.
